lynx in Iowa
While traveling through Iowa my husband and I spied three "somethings". We turned around and drove back for me to snap a few pics. Much to our delight we saw three bob-cats. Two that appeared to be adults and one that appeared to be a young one. The more we looked at them the more we thought they were lynxs. When I enlarged the pics on my computer we saw the black tuffs on their ears and knew they were lynxs. These is the best picture, I was standing on a bridge with cars vibrating the bridge. I was hand holding my camera zoomed completely out. I didn’t have time to change my ISO (or got so excited that they might be something rare that I forgot) so they are not as sharp as I would have prefered. The next morning I called the Iowa game and fish to see if they have had other sighting of lynxs. They told me that an adult lynx had been sighted in that area, but had not had a report of two adults and a young lynxs.
Iowa Tornado Cleanup

She’s attending graduate school at University of Iowa and the other night, in the middle of an author’s book reading, everyone was whisked into the basement because of a tornado sighting. This is what she found the next day, which appears to have been a beautiful day.
